Oppo A93

Oppo A93 was launched on 1st October 2020 and has a 6.43-inch touchscreen display that produces a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a further 409PPI. It has been supported by a 2.2GHz octa-core Media Tek Helio P95 processor and contains 8GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 10 and includes a 4000mAh battery that supports fast charging. The rear camera has autofocus while the front camera has a dual camera which comprises a 16MP f/2.4 and a second 2MP camera which has an f/2.4 aperture.

The software for Oppo A93 is Color OS 7.2 which is based on Android 10 while the internal storage stands at 128GB and can be expanded with a micro SD card. It measures 160.14 x 73.77 x 7.48mm and comes with a weight of 164 grams. Oppo A93 is dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) but also accepts Nano-SIM. It comes in shades of Black and Magical White.

DESIGN

The first thing that strikes you when you see the Oppo A93 is its slim form factor and gorgeous looking frosted glass that has a two-tone shine. It has a slim form factor as it comes with a dimension of 160.14×73.77×7.48mm and has a weight of 164grams which is identical to Oppo F17 Pro. It is extremely light and ergonomic in the hand as it scores big in the design sector.

While having 7.848 thickness, the device is undoubtedly also one of the slimmest phones in the market and comes with a polycarbonate cover at the frame and back panel. Oppo has further featured an unusual mix of matte and shiny coating on the rear which makes it stand out. The back also reflects various hues while the matte ensures that the phone does not attract fingerprints.

The top edge is clean and comes with only the microphone being placed while the bottom part has a USB Type-C port that has been placed next to in the middle of the speaker grille and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button has been placed on the right side while the volume keys are strategically placed with the SIM card tray on the left side of the phone.

There are Oppo bundle phones that come along with a protective transparent silicone case in the box. The rear side is where you will find the square-shaped camera module that is similar to what was seen on the iPhone 11 Pro and which comes with a flash that brings a refreshing look of vertically stacked camera that is found in various phones. The camera does not sit adjacent to the flush but the protrusion is not distracting either way. The device comes in shades of Metallic black and Metallic White.

DISPLAY

Oppo A93 has a 6.43inch screen display which comprises mini Dual Punch holes that give out a maximum view. The device has been designed to optimize every millimetre of the notch that surrounds the two front cameras thus allows more space to be available. It has an FHD+Super AMOLED screen that is quite similar to that of Oppo F17 pro. the screen delivers a peak brightness of 430 nits during normal times and an impressive 800 nits while at the maximum. This rate of brightness makes it easy to use while under direct sunlight and also while outdoors.

Oppo A93 arrives with a refresh rate of up to 180Hz and a screen ratio of 90:67%. The 2400×1080 resolution rate that it provides is ideal for watching HD films and also gaming. The colour gamut further stands at 96% while the PPI is 409. There is on display mode and an in-display fingerprint scanner that is pretty fast and unlocks the screen in just 0.33 seconds. The face recognition feature also works smoothly during use.

SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE

You will be able to get a swift performance on your phone with the upgraded chipset that comes with it. It uses a MediaTek Helio P95chipset which is upgraded and found on devices such as Oppo Reno 3 pro. Oppo A93 scores an impressive 2,03,472 points on AnTuTu which is quite decent and smooth. Performing daily tasks will be easy throughout the day thanks to the responsive UI while multitasking without experiencing any lags or stutters is assured with the device.

Color OS 7.2 which is identical to what was seen on Oppo Reno 4 Pro is featured and has a new gesture called ‘Air Answer’ which allows you to answer or reject calls using hand gestures. There is a MediaTek Hyper Engine technology that can provide intelligent networking, instant touchscreens, and clear visuals. The combination of all these ensures that fast and smooth actions, especially in high graphics games such as PUBG.

CAMERA

The A-series first ever 6 camera phone can take professional photography to a whole new level. Users will be able to explore all functionalities that make selfie and portrait taking to be as memorable as ever. The rear cameras include 48MP f1.7 central cameras,8MP ultra-wide-angle lens,2MP monochrome lens, and finally a 2MP depth sensor.

The cameras are very similar to those of Oppo F17 Pro and can deliver good shots in all conditions. Images will be rich in colors while those taken in HDR mode having a fair amount of dynamic range and highlights. Worth noting is that the cameras can zoom up to 10X while 2x is optical zoom. The 16MP front camera comes with a 2MP depth camera and takes good selfies under natural light.

The biometrics part has an in-display fingerprint and a facial detection feature while the connectivity options coming with the phone are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.10, GPS, USB Type-C, and support for 3G and 4G.
