OPPO A5 was launched in August 2018 and runs on the Android v8.1 operating system. It is powered by an Octacore 1.8 GHz, Cortex A53 processor and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphone as an IPS LCD and measures 156.2 mm x 75.6 mm x 8.2 mm while weighing 168 grams.
The screen comes with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and 271 PPI pixel density while having a screen to body ratio of 80.85% and an aspect ratio of 19.9. the camera module features an 8MP f/2.2 front camera and a rear set up of 13MP+2MP camera with features such as Digital zoom and Face detection. It is backed up by a 4230 mAh battery while its connectivity features include Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, Volte, etc.
DESIGN
The OPPO A5 is very similar to the Oppo A9 with its major difference being on the camera set up. The solid design of the device will intrigue you at first sight as it creates a premium feel. You will be able to see and feel the difference through the 3D Aesthetics design that takes everything to another dimension. The ergonomic body was designed for a better grip and a thinner visual experience.
On the right of the device, one can find the power buttons, while the volume rockers are placed at the left. The headphone jack is placed at the bottom of the device together with the speaker grille. One can also find the USB-C as the data port. The fingerprint scanner is found at the back. The phone is relatively thick as it weighs 9.1mm and has a dimension of 16.3. The back is plastic and has a basic transparent Silicone case.
DISPLAY
The A5 comes with a 6.5-inch display which is large and tall. It has a new waterdrop notch which is embodied with Sunlight screen and Blue shield. This acts as the crown of the phone’s large content display. Its dynamic pixel adjustment allows you to read under the sunlight while the Blue light protects your vision and prevents eye fatigue. It has so much to offer under one screen with the IPS LCD capacitive touch screen that comes with a 720 x 1520 pixels resolution.
The display also features a teardrop notch at the top of the screen with the bezels being slim and narrow thus allowing the screen to pop out. SOFTWARE
Oppo A5 runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 6 that is based on Android 9. The version features an app drawer, a vertical scroll that has a similarity to Android, and several customizations that are available at the home screen. The main extra parts are the Smart Assistant home screen as well as the one-handed aid.
