Oppo A1K

Launched in 2019, Oppo A1K is packed with a 6.10-inch touchscreen display and has a resolution of 720×1560 pixels and has 282 PPI. It has been powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor and has 2GB RAM. the device runs on Android Pie and has a 4000mAh battery. The camera module on the rear packs an 8MP, f/2.2 aperture, and on the other hand sports 5MP for selfies and has an f/2.0 aperture and a pixel size of 1.12 micron.

The device is packed with ColorOS 6.0 that is based on Android Pie and comes with 32GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded with a micro SD card. It is a dual SIM smartphone but accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The dimensions of the device are 154.50 x 73.80 x 8.40mm while the weight is 170.0 grams. It came in the shades of Black and Red colors and bears a plastic body. The connectivity options that can be found on the device are Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth v4.20. on the other hand, the sensors that come along are an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and magnetometer.

DESIGN

Oppo A1k is similar to Realme C2 in terms of design in every possible aspect. Both phones have nearly identical shapes while their dimensions are set a millimeter apart. However, the buttons, ports, and holes are placed at the same place.

The device has a rear panel, unlike the textured patterned one that is seen on Realme C2. It was launched in two colors: Black and Bright Red and is eye-catching while having a swift finish. The device has been made from plastic for the larger part and has a sleek feel. The amazing aspect about the rear is that it is non-slippery and non-susceptible to fingerprints and smudges. The edges have been curved and the phone is of reasonable size while measuring 154.50 x 73.80 x 8.40mm and weighing 170.0 grams.

There is a plastic screen protector that is pre-applied on top of the display while a waterdrop notch sits on top of the screen together with an earpiece. The phone lacks a fingerprint sensor but has a facial recognition feature. The power button has been placed at the right while the volume buttons sit at the left. There is a SIM card tray on the upper left which has cutouts for a micro SD card and two Nano-SIMs. At the bottom one can find, a speaker grille,3.5mm headset socket, Micro-USB port, and a speaker grille.

DISPLAY

Oppo A1K will impress you with its display as it has a waterdrop notch that hosts a front camera. The phone comes with a 6.1-inch HD+ display and has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio that is quite similar to Realme C2. The display enables you to get a broader experience as you watch movies and play games while the Corning Gorilla glass that comes with it enhances the toughness of the device. The display will give you adequate brightness indoors and enable you to operate it without a strain.

SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE

Oppo A1K has been powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor that is based on 12nmand can also be seen in the Realme C2. The phone can register a single score of 820 and has a processor whose performance can be matched to the range of Redmi 7 and Galaxy M10. The processor has been further paired up with a 2GB RAM that enhances the performance to even greater levels. In terms of performance, the device performs swiftly during daily use through apps such as WhatsApp, YouTube, and Chrome and can even open up to 25 tabs in Chrome without having any lags.

Users will get a smooth experience for the majority of their time and can handle games with medium graphics. Games such as Angry Birds and Subway Surfer work well with the device and experience no hangs. When it comes to Software, the device runs on Color OS6 which is based on Android 9 and is a fairly customizable UI. The notifications and quick settings panel look different but do not divert too much from the norm. There is a Lock screen Magazine feature that depicts photos with links to related articles and an app drawer which can be turned off upon wish. The layout can also be customized to the on screen.

Oppo A1K comes with a little bloatware such as UC Browser but this can be uninstalled to save storage space. A smart sidebar is available and comes up when you swipe right from the home screen. The face unlocks feature is fast and can detect faces in an instant.

BATTERY AND STORAGE

Battery life is superb with the device and happens to be one of the strongest suits of the device. OppoA1K has a 4000mAh battery that is super powerful and is similar to that found in the Samsung Galaxy S20 in terms of capacity. It allows a whole day of usage and can support over usage through streaming, extra photo-taking, web surfing, and gaming during the day. Videos can also be watched throughout the day in HD quality without over draining the battery.
