Infinix Smart 4 Plus

Infinix Smart 4 Plus was launched in July 2020 and has a 6.82-inch touchscreen display that supports a resolution of 720×1640 pixels and a further aspect ratio of 20.5:9. The device has been powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 processor and is further supported by 3GB RAM. It runs Android 10 and has been supported by a 6000mAh non-removable battery.

When it comes to the camera module, the rear pack holds a 13MP f/1.8 camera with autofocus while the front has an 8MP f/2.0 camera used for selfies. It runs on XOS 6.2 that has been based on Android 10 and has 32GB inbuilt storage that can be further expanded with a micro SD card of up to 256GB. Smart 4 Plus is a dual SIM and accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The dimensions are 171.82 x 77.96 x 8.90mm while its weight is 207.00 grams. It comes in the shades of Ocean Wave, Midnight Black, and Violet.

The connectivity options include GPS, Bluetooth v4 2.0, Wi-Fi direct, and support for 3G and 4G. The available sensors are fingerprint sensor, proximity, compass, fingerprint sensor, and ambient light sensor. Infinix Smart 4 Plus supports both Face Unlock and Fingerprint sensor.

DESIGN

Similarly to what was seen in Infinix Hot 9, you also get to have a classy design with this device. It comes with the same gem cut and is featured in the shades of Ocean Blue, Violet, and Midnight Black. The dimensions for the device are 171.82 x 77.96 x 8.90mm while its weight is 207.00 grams. At the front one can find a bezel-less 6.82-inch screen that has been protected with a scratch-resistant glass having 2.5D curves and providing a 90.3% screen to body ratio. The smooth edges and polycarbonate body make the device to have a sleek finish.

In terms of aesthetics, Smart 4 Plus has a dual-camera mode positioned at the top left corner at the back and which might be mistaken to be a triple camera while on a distant view. There is a fingerprint scanner found at the top part and is followed by the Infinix logo and a ‘Smart’ branding at the bottom side. The front comes with a waterdrop notch display containing few bezels while the right side places the volume rockers and power button. The left houses a SIM tray with the bottom having a 3.5mm audio jack and a micro-USB port.

DISPLAY

A huge display is what has been provided with Smart 4 Plus as it features a 6.82-inch Drop Notch display that can be found in phones such as Hot 9 Play. It sports an HD+ screen resolution of 720×1640 pixels. The display has thin bezels and a whopping 90.5% screen ratio that allows the viewing experience to be quite enjoyable. While having a 1500:1 contrast ratio and 480 nits the display can produce vivid colors and give out a different visual. The viewing angles and sunlight visibility are decent.

PERFORMANCE

Gaming is good on the phone as it supports medium graphics games while there are no heating issue even under over usage.

The device runs on Android 10 and uses the customized interface XOS Dolphin 6.2.0 which has several pre-installed apps. Despite this, the performance of the device remains smooth such as what is seen in the interface of Infinix Zero 8i. Booting the phone and connecting it to Wi-Fi will allow you to update the device while there is also an XOS Lab which gives you several new features that are incorporated with your phone. The features that are incorporated include DTS Sound that gives you a better audio experience, Game Mode, Phone Master, X-share, Social Turbo, etc.

CAMERA

The camera front of the phone offers dual cameras that are easily mistaken for triple cameras from the rear side. The dual camera has a central 13MP camera which comes with a depth sensor. There is a triple LED flash that sits at the back and can be used in low lighting conditions while the front part comes with an 8MP camera that is used for selfie and video calls. You will further get more and more of everything with front camera modes such as AI Portrait, AI 3D Face Beauty, Wide Selfie, and AR Animoji. Modes on the rear camera are Bokeh, AI HDR, AI 3D Beauty, Panorama, AR Animoji. Video can be recorded at 1080p@30fps while other features include No slow-motion video, macro mode, and wide-angle mode.
